Korean Medicine English Books Donation

Ministry of Health and Welfare(MoHW) of the Republic of Korea hold a series of Korean Medicine English Books Donation Ceremony at 6 academic institutes in the United States along with the National Development Institute of Korean Medicine(NIKOM) and Pusan National University School of Korean Medicine. 

Starting from the ceremony held in Arizona School of Acupuncture & Oriental Medicine on October 2nd, Donguibogam Academy held donation ceremony along with Korean Medicine seminar at Phoenix Institute of Herbal Medicine & Acupuncture, Pacific College of Oriental Medicine-Chicago, Midwest College of Oriental Medicine, National University of Health Sciences, Midwest College of Oriental Medicine-WI.

MoHW started Donguibogam Academy program in 2015 with 4 schools in Manhattan, New York as one of the main projects under Globalization of Korean Medicine. It has expanded the regional scope of Donguibogam Academy including donation of ‘Donguibogam’ translated in English into European schools such as University of Göttingen, Germany, and International Society for Chinese Medicine (Societas Medicinae Sinensis) of Germany.

Donguibogam Academy was accredited by NCCAOM(National Certification Commission for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine) in 2015 as PDA provider. The academy also holds seminars and hand on training programs regarding Korean Medicine along with donation of Korean Medicine English books in order to realize globalization of Korean Medicine training.

Although there are more than sixty colleges/schools in the field of oriental medicine accredited by ACAOM(Accreditation Commission for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine) in the United States, they merely deal with (traditional) Korean Medicine.

The Donguibogam Academy focuses not only on general introduction of Korean Medicine but rather on practical training related to clinic operation and management – Korean acupuncture such as Saam acupuncture, and Korean Medicine treatment for subfertility and mental health.
